Evers GmbH Privacy Policy (Last Updated: 15.09.2009)

Evers GmbH takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we save this information and how we use it. As a company under private law, we are subject to the conditions of the Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG), as well as the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that we comply with these data protection regulations.

Personal Data

Personal data is information that can be used to determine your identity. It includes information such as: your full name, company address, postal address, telephone number, fax number, or email address, as well as your credit card number, bank account details, fixed IP address, username, and password. Information that is not directly associated with your genuine identity (such as favourite web pages or the number of users of a site) does not come under this label.

You can use our online services without revealing your identity. If you register for one of our personalized services, or order a product or newsletter, we ask for your name and other personal details. It remains entirely up to you whether you choose to provide this information.

Personal data that you provide is saved on specially-secured servers in Germany. Only a restricted group of people will have access to this personal data.

We use this information for the processing of your orders (catalogues, products, services, and newsletters), the delivery of goods, the rendering of services, and the processing of payments.

We may upload, save, edit, and use your personal data for the purposes of processing contracts, rendering services, and billing. Data that is not required for these purposes (e.g. the beginning, end, and duration of your visit to our site) is deleted immediately after you finish using our site. Data whose deletion is contrary to retention periods defined by laws, statutes, or contracts is excepted.

If you have given us your permission in this respect, we may also use your personal data (name, company address, telephone number, fax number, and email address) for the purpose of providing individually tailored advice and customer information. You can revoke your permission at any time by contacting Evers GmbH, Graf-Zeppelin-Straße10-12, 46149 Oberhausen, evers@eversgmbh. If you have not given your permission, or have revoked it, no use will be made of the aforementioned data. Our services will, of course, be rendered irrespective of whether you have given or revoked your permission in this respect.

Passing on Personal Data

We use your personal data only in connection with product orders placed with Evers GmbH. An exception to this is the forwarding of your personal data to business partners who, under contract with us, provide technical, logistical, or other services to enable us to carry out your order. We will not pass on your personal data to third parties without your express permission in any other circumstances, and particularly not for advertising or marketing purposes. Insofar as we are legally obliged to do so, we will however share your data with any entitled institutions (law enforcement authorities and courts, for the purpose of law enforcement).

Right of Revocation

If you have shared personal data with us, you may request at any time that these be changed or deleted. We draw your attention to the fact that data whose deletion is contrary to retention periods defined by laws, statutes, or contracts is excepted. This data will remain saved for the duration of such a retention period, but access to it in the course of ordinary business will be blocked.

You are, of course, also entitled at any time to revoke your permission for the use or editing of any personal data with future effect. In such cases, or insofar as you have any other requests in connection with your personal data, please send an email or letter to our Data Protection Officer, Mr Martin Reimann, Graf-Zeppelin-Str. 10-12, 46149 Oberhausen, Germany.
