Shark rescue kit

The Shark kit is a simple system for rescuing people downward. The device is inspected and approved in accordance with DIN EN 341 as a rescue equipment/rapelling device.
It is quick to learn and to operate.
It can be used for evacuating one or two people, as well as for rescuing a fallen person.
To rescue a fallen person, the rescuer lowers himself or herself to the person using the rapelling device, connects the rapelling device to their safety harness, releases the victim's fastener and lowers down to the safe ground.

The procedure for rescues (application video: see "Downloads" at right):

  1. The rescuer is suspended from the Shark kit rope.
  2. He or she rapells to the accident victim using the already preinstalled rapelling device.
  3. There, he or she connects to the person using the fixed second Shark kit connection rope.
  4. He or she then disconnects the victims fastener using the special cable wire cutter.
  5. He or she then rapells to the ground together with the connected person.

The standard set includes:

  1. One rapelling device, finish-mounted on the rope and equipped with 2 carabiners
  2. 100m core shroud rope with carabiner on one end (other lengths upon request!)
  3. One rigging round sling in accordance with DIN EN 795
  4. One wire rope cutter
  5. One sturdy transport bag
