Turning of staked coils on the stack is not permitted! A coil turning chair is therefore the first choice for erecting the packages delivered horizontally with slit strips. However, fixed equipment for turning narrow coils is not always available. This is why we offer a solution, which should, however, only be used in exceptional cases and only after prior, in-depth training of the operator.

The hoisting bands with secutex protective hose, which are very well qualified for hoisting and turning, could not be used in the past because the normal, reinforced end straps did not fit into the small gaps between the coils that were laying horizontally. One end strap of the secutex hoisting band is designed flat and can be inserted without much effort into the gap between the slit strips. The flat end strap will now be hung into the forged C-bracket.

The protective hose will be positioned at the sharp edges of the coil (see also instructions for the turning of coils on page 27). The hoisting band moves freely in the protective hose during hoisting, while it is strongly attached to the load. Therefore there is no movement at the sharp edges and almost no wear. Turning stacked coils is dangerous, because the slit strip can slide out when the coil is erected across the lower edge. The set therefore always includes a non-skid turning mat, which will simply be put underneath the tilt edge. Positive additional effect: the windings of the coil at the bottom will not be damaged during the turning process.
