Evers offers a large selection of straight and bow shackles. Depending on the respective intended use, the range extends from a working load limit (WLL) of 0.33 to up to 1500 to, so that our customers can choose the suitable shackle for every application.
Furthermore, we also supply shackles based on many standards, e.g. US Federal Specification RR-C-271, EN 13889, British Standard 3032, DIN 82101, DIN 82016, etc. Polar shackles have been developed for use in extremely cold regions with a material which guarantees use in temperatures as low as –40 °C. We also offer a comprehensive range of standard shackles which are not suitable for lifting loads but merely for fixing or tautening.
Each shackle has a special design for the respective application. For example, the super green pin shackles are made from grade 8 material, to keep the dimensions as small as possible but without losing function or working load limit (WLL) and therefore to enable use in areas with limited space.
Sling shackles are used in large rope slings to increase efficiency and to extend the life of the
wire rope. A further example of functional design is the use of shackles with square socket pins in the fishing industry. This prevents the shackle from getting caught up in the nets.
These are all examples of high functionality to optimise daily use of shackles.
Shackles which are suitable for lifting purposes are stamped with the following marking to specify the quality and
safety of the shackle:
| Working load limit (WLL) | ■ z.B. WLL 25 T |
| Manufacturer's mark | |
| Batch number | ■ e.g. H with reference to a specific production lot |
| Grade | ■ e.g. 4, 6, 8 |
| CE Declaration of Conformity | ■ CE, Conformité Européen indicates that the product is suitable for lifting purposes. |
