Machine direction
In the context of paper, the machine direction (direction of flow of pulp on machine, abbreviation: md) describes the arrangement of the pulp fibres in the finished product.
Masking tape
Masking tape is used for masking surfaces for painting and decorating work. There are differences in temperature resistance and the type of impregnation and the water repellency achieved.
Either highly creped or flat crepe tapes are used.
