Seven new trainees

Young, motivated youths have good opportunities with Evers. On September 01, 2006, seven new trainees started their first day of work. One young man from the group is completing a "normal" two-year apprenticeship as Saleperson in Wholesale and Foreign Trade. The other six will already take their IHK examination after 18 months, according to schedule, and are studying business administration at the Technical University for Economy & Management (FOM) in Essen alongside their apprenticeship.

The trainees study four and a half days per week at the company. One half day serves for preparation for the IHK exam. The course of study lasts for seven semesters. For six semesters, the young people attend 16 lecture hours per week. The seventh semester is reserved for completing the thesis and exam preparations.

Two reasons in particular speak for the dual education. The first is greater practical relevance. The close dovetailing of business practice and knowledge during the course of study creates an ideal basis for the graduates' challenging tasks in their professional life.

The company training is also of high quality at Evers. The trainees "pass through" all departments. Following the motto of "learning by doing," they collaborate on work and business processes or complete them independently. During regular internal training, the trainees are familiarized intensively with the extensive product line. They obtain additional skills and knowledge in external seminars.

To date, Evers has been able to offer all trainees an employment contract.
