Food transporter for the "Oberhausener Tafel" Round Table

Evers GmbH donates a Ford Transit to the Oberhausener Tafel e.V. for food transport. The handover took place on 24 October 2008 in front of Evers GmbH's offices in Graf-Zeppelin-Straße. A great deal of pleasure was felt as the committee members of the Oberhausener Tafel Round Table, Josef Stemper, Kurt Märzke and Hans-Uwe Zöller, accepted the vehicle keys and documents from Evers' management. The help came just in time, because a delivery vehicle of the Round Table urgently required replacement.

Die Oberhausener Tafel e.V. has set itself the task of redistributing faultless quality food which is no longer used in the business process to people in need. The Oberhausener Tafel maintains three vehicles to collect surplus food from around 50 shops in Oberhausen. The food is always perfectly fresh and the sell-by date has not yet expired. To ensure an uninterrupted cooling chain, the delivery vehicles are equipped with cold packs and thermometers. The food is stored on cold shelves at 2-4°C  until it is issued to the people in need. The regulations are strict. As soon as the cooling chain is interrupted, the food may no longer be issued.

Hilfe für die Oberhausener Tafel is not new for Evers. The Buschhausener company has already helped the Round Table out on several occasions with cash donations.
