Corrosion protection

Annual costs due to corrosion damage are estimated to account for around 4% of gross domestic product. Prevention of corrosion and repair therefore swallows up large sums. And especially there, there is also substantial potential for savings: The better the corrosion protection the lower the operating costs! One of the most effective methods is the EV-VCI method (Evers Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor), also called the VPI (Vapour Phase Inhibitor). The inhibiting effect begins as soon as the protective vapour spreads within an enclosed space (by means of evaporation) and a thin coat forms on the metal surface of the product. Protection is provided as long as the product is within the enclosed space. If the content is removed from the packaging, the EV-VCI coating evaporates and leaves behind a dry product, free of corrosion.
