30 Years at Evers

Even in today's fast-paced times, they still exist: Employees who have been at one and the same company for 30 years. On August 01, 2006, Prokurist Ingeborg Michel celebrated her 30-year company anniversary.

An anniversary is always a good occasion to look back: On August 01, 1976, Ingeborg Enaux began her three-year training as a "businessman" in wholesale and foreign trade at the two-man-operation Rudolf Evers, located in Mülheim-Saarn. The term "businesswoman" was not yet common at the time. The sole proprietorship was concerned solely with the trading of rope products.

The young trainee demonstrated a high degree of conscientiousness and motivation. After her training, she was happy to accept employment. Not only Ingeborg Enaux developed, but the Evers company did as well. Sales multiplied with the increasing number of employees. The business space in Saarn became too small. A move to Oberhausen-Buschhausen was due. At the same time, Evers GmbH was created from the sole proprietorship of Rudolf Evers. With great innovative force, Johannes Trum continually expanded the product offering of his company.

Ingeborg Enaux, meanwhile, became Ingeborg Michel and independently managed the accounting of Evers GmbH. Because standstill means regression, as is well known, Johannes Trum decided to purchase the neighboring property and thereby expand the company premises by 1,500 m2. The move to the new office building was made in November of 1992.

The Michels moved as well: From a small apartment in Mühlheim-Saarn to a beautiful single-family home in Winkhausen. With plenty of room for tiny feet to patter. Their son Tobias was born in 1990. Ingeborg Michel returned to her desk after a short baby-break. Her responsibilities grew with the increasing sales and employee numbers. Her single proxy was issued in 1992.

Today, Evers employs 60 workers. The small rope company has grown into a specialist for the fields of lifting, securing, conveying and packaging. 30 years ago, Ingeborg Enaux was the sole trainee. Today, Evers trains eleven youths simultaneously. That is economic success. Behind this success stands Johannes Trum in particular and the philosophy that he represents. In order to be successful, however, he also needs reliable and motivated employees. Just like Ingeborg Michel.
