During your schooling time, we make you fit for your future tasks as whole sales and export merchants. You work and learn in the following departments: sales, order processing, procurement, accounting and shipping/warehousing.

You learn practical work following the motto "learning by doing". You contribute to work and business processes or you complete them on your own. By going through this process, teamwork, entrepreneurial thinking and responsible acting is advanced.

During your training, you will take classes at the vocational school in Oberhausen or - in case of a schooling with extra-occupational studies - you will participate in the preparation course for the IHK test at the polytechnic.

In addition, through frequent internal trainings, you are introduced in-depth to the comprehensive product portfolio of a packaging specialist. You will receive additional skills and knowledge through external seminars.

Extra-occupational studies: Business administration

Graduate degree: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

This study offers a generic business-management related schooling, which effectively provides the required knowledge for a wide range of opportunities within the company. This makes it possible that students can familiarise themselves quickly with new tasks and that they can develop economic science based solutions for practical issues.

The studies take place at the Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management (FOM) in Essen or Duisburg (polytechnic for economy and management). The lectures take place in parallel to the job - in the evening and Saturdays - during the entire 3.5 year academic studies at the FOM. The academic studies are designed in such a way that the first four semesters include basics of business administration and economics, business law, tax law, accounting and data processing.

The students can tune their knowledge in accordance with their job starting with the fifth semester - and therefore starting with the main academic studies. This is made possible by a large variety of available academic disciplines. In addition, the lectures are given in business English. The 7th semester is used to focus on the upcoming bachelor thesis. For this purpose, the scientific knowledge from the studies will be applied to actual cases of the economic practice.

The state-approved graduate degree Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is acquired after completing the bachelor thesis and the colloquium at the end of the 7th semester.
