Seventies and eighties

New technologies cause fundamental changes. Twines are replaced by self adhesive and strapping bands. Evers also offers the associated cardboard box closures and strapping machines an. The conventional natural fibres are replaced by modern polyester bands. Evers assumes the representation of the Swedish manufacturer SpanSet GmbH & Co.KG. In 1975, Evers is for the first time exhibiting on the "Düsseldorf Drupa“. Evers shows a programme that has little to do with the twines of yesteryears.

In the cardboard box closure and packaging machine segment, CANAPA Verpackungstechnik assumes the exclusive representation of the Danish manufacturer SOCO. Similar developments for strapping machines: This is where Evers assumes the German representation of the Japanese market leader Strapack-Shimojima.

In 1978, after only six months of construction activities, Evers moves into a large building with good transport connections in Oberhausen-Buschhausen. At the same time, the individual company is changed into a GmbH.

The new company building with high bay racking permits an expansion of the delivery programme. Evers offers now transport safeguards of pallets through wrapping machines, stretch films and shrink hoods.

Starting in 1981, Evers, jointly with CANAPA, Soco and Strapack, is represented at the largest packaging exhibition "Interpack“ in Düsseldorf, which takes place every three years. On one of the largest stands at the exhibition, Evers presents state-of-the-art cardboard box openers, cardboard box closure machines, conveyor belts, conveying systems, palletising systems and stretch wrapping machines. In addition on a second stand, Evers introduces the American packaging optimisation software CAPE.

Starting in 1982, Evers used electronics to support the office work. Initially, the inventory is rationalised on 4 monitors, state-of-the-art fast printers print bill of materials, invoices and statistics. As a result, state-of-the-art word processing makes it possible, to inform the customer better, faster and more intense.

After the relocation into the new building at the end of 1986, sales triples and the number of employees doubles.

"Evers .... makes working easier." This motto remains the real quintessence of working. It is important to make working easier whenever the best solution has been found for the customer.
