The
EversNet (Intranet) is introduced in May 200 to improve the in-house processes and to establish an effective contact management. Evers continues to present
new quality products through it outstanding innovation capabilities. The Evers product portfolio is continuously expanded by new, interesting products, e.g.
ErgoPack, a mobile strapping station for the ergonomic, fast and safe pallet strapping, or
LPack a new and environmentally friendly packaging system, which produces clean and light weight
HDPE film air cushions made from pre-customised film rolls. The trend for packaging rationalisations points clearly to state-of-the-art, modular systems. The advantage: The packaging system can at any time be flexibly adapted to the changing requirements and customer requests by utilising new combinations. Offering modular system families consisting of
roll conveyor, weighing module,
cardboard box closure and
strapping machine, Evers offers optimal solution concepts.

From March 9 to April 12, 2002, Evers presents approximately 60 pictures and collages by the Ratingen artist Lothar K.H. Moldt. The motto is
"Evers-Art". Collages with Evers specific subjects, such as packaging and transporting, represent the focus of the collages. A few hundred customers and suppliers from the Ruhr, the Netherlands, France and other neighboring countries are present at the opening of the exhibition on March 8. 50% of the profit from the sale of the exhibition pictures - 5,000 Euros - are donated by the artist to the Behindertenzentrum (disability centre) Alsbachtal in Oberhausen This is were persons ages 20 to 50 with severe disabilities are attended to. The donation finances a therapy bath in the new building of the disability centre.
Complete offerings from a single source: At the "Interpack" 2002, Evers presents products and services for
hoisting,
lashing,
packaging and
transporting well-arranged in a
general catalogue. A special service: Based on this
general catalogue, Evers offers - in accordance with the customer needs, individually arranged special catalogues, which are made available to the customers in hardcopy or
electronically. In addition, Evers customers also use the catalogue data for in-house, electronic acquisition systems.
The one person company has grown into a 50 person company. The large office space on the first floor is no longer adequate. Johannes Trum makes the decision to rent the
entire second floor as of January 2003. Planning and construction are implemented with a lot of effort. The result is presentable. Presentable, modern office space and a large training room - everything state-of-the-art - have been established.
Evers puts a lot of emphasis on the
training of its junior staff. At least five trainees are trained at any given time to become
whole sales and export merchants with extra-occupational studies for
for an MBA. The studies take place at the
Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management (FOM) in Essen (polytechnic for economy and management). The studies last seven semesters. The student participate in 16 lecture hours per week for six semester. The seventh semester is reserved for the establishment of the diploma thesis and the preparation for the exam. Evers company education is also of high quality. The trainees work in the following departments: order processing, product sales, product shipping and accounting. Following the motto "learning by doing", they contribute to work and business processes or they complete them on their own. Through frequent internal trainings, the trainees are introduced in-depth to the comprehensive product portfolio of the packaging specialist. The trainees receive other skills and knowledge through external seminars.
Evers-EDV "in vogue": The accounting IT system was updated in October 2002 through a change from AC-Fibu (UNIX) to
ACFinac (Windows). In March 2003, Evers introduces a
high-performance Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to guarantee that the customer communication is planned more effectively, analysed and automated. Immediately following this update, the
enterprise resource planning system was changed AC-Compact (UNIX) to
ACLogic (Windows).
Evers offers its customers high-quality products for packaging applications, qualified consultations as well as permanent availability. In addition, the communication must be optimised continuously to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships. The path to this change represented a major effort with impacts on the logistics processes of the company. However, CRM works well! Evers established a flexible and efficient solution for the challenging customer requirements and needs by changing to a CRM oriented company and by installing the required hardware and software. From November 17 to December 13, 2003 Evers presented
"Evers-Art, the second" pictures by three fascinating artists, Ruth Stöcker and her daughters Anne Stöcker and Vera Niederau (ne Stöcker). This time the art interested public were shown 150 new and older works by the three artists about very different subjects. The artists work mainly with watercolours. Like last time, Evers also experiences strong participation for the ceremonial opening of the exhibition on November 16. Approximately 400 customers and friends visit to see the pictures that are distributed across two office storeys. The proceeds from the sale of the exhibits in the amount of 10,000 Euro are donated to the
Ambulante Hospiz Oberhausen e.V. (Out-patient hospice). The money is used to finance the training and the advanced training of the 55 volunteers.
The attractive Evers Seminar Centre with state-of-the-art equipment is established in early 2005. The focus of the training offering are the regular seminars for the areas of load security, hoisting services and systems, Cape packaging optimisation as well as communication and state-of-the-art sales approaches. The seminar offering is continuously expanded.
At the same time, the exhibition for packaging materials on the first floor is modernised. The function exhibition for the area of modular transport and packaging systems is expanded. Internal logistics processes are optimised through comprehensive structural alterations in the warehouse and office areas. The sales department grows by eight jobs after another reconstruction.
The quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 is introduced in November 2005. The user friendliness of the Evers-Homepage is increased and the company and product presentation including the Online shops are improved by a redesign of the website and the implementation of a Content Management System in early 2006. The conventional phone system is replaced by a centrally managed internal solution.
Following the sports sponsoring model, Evers joins the Social Sponsoring Initiative for the Behindertenzentrum Alsbachtal.
The logistics centre is converted in early 2007. The Evers owned trucks are sold. Products ordered ex-stock will be commissioned directly to a 30 t trailer and they will be delivered to you within 24 hours.
The first large in-house exhibition TEAM07 takes place from May 10 to 12, 2007. 50 well-known manufacturers present their newest products on an exhibition area of 8,000 sqm. More than 8,000 exhibition visitors find information about innovative trends in the areas of hoisting, transporting, packaging and/or participate in the many expert seminars.
The adjacent property on the Lindenstraße is purchased in May of 2008. Starting in January 2009, 350 sqm office space was rented additionally for the sales and accounting departments. On the acquired operating premises of the former adjacent property, a 1000 sqm warehouse designed based on a steel construction with an outside front of profiled sheeting and an attractive post/interlock construction is operational in July of 2009 after a construction time of only six months. This increases the warehouse capacity in one step by approximately 1,360 pallet storage spaces to a total of 2,860 storage spaces.
The expansion of the operating premises make it possible to optimise the chain workshop and the machine exhibition. Four 40 t trucks can be loaded or unloaded at the same time. The office building receives a new roof and a new paint coatingin the summer of 2009.
The Evers website is revised structurally, content wise and visually in a half year project. It is planned to relaunch the homepage completely by the end of 2009.
